I was curious, for those who have run these before, how much power do these thugs like? Ima be running a new and old set in each door and have read these things like power. They are rated for 125 but ive read 150ish is a sweet spot. Any suggestions on this? Also, hertz suggests a pillar mounting for the tweets. Fine for a few, kinda like overpowering a woofer, but 10x more sensitive to clipping death, thermal, or overboosting the treble. Was gonna grab a aq 90 but I want to give them atleast 125 per side and have as much sq as I can get along with the ability to crank the volume, so I decided on the Zuki eleets 4 channel, that's been clocked at nearly 200 per channel. Should be able to run both sides perfectly once I get a scope to set the gains. Thanks for your help guys. Quote

Im wanting the mids to bridge the gap between my mids and subs (as they are meant to be). Im really wanting mids capable of dropping down to 50htz and if I need some 8" shallows or something for a bit more depth along with the 165s so be it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Quote

I was just wanting to make sure these should push 50hz relatively fine. Now to read up on speaker aiming. Edit: Also on the list down the road is buy 3 more 15s and do a back seat fourth order/wall so I dont need to worry about losing the highs while getting my lows. Edited May 21, 2011 by tonedeaf Quote
