Or small wire in generalI like soldering small wires it's really easy now soldering bigger wires I hate since it takes a lot longer to heat up and I always end up with globs of solder. Then when they tell someone about it they are like yeah its like"makes fart noises with lips"... wtf bro, have you never heard bass before? there is more to audio than treble. Older amp is still fine, so it lead me to believe this amp came out shitty of the factory. Meh well. Aj11 Posted February 19, 2014 Report Share Posted February 19, 2014 kids that think gain Is volume, but the thing that pisses me off the most is fixing other peoples mistakes! the last thing that pissed me off was i went with my boy who insisted on getting jl amps and w7s. if that's not bad enough he spent $300 a piece on w7 tens and $200 a po for 2 jl 500/1. anyway when we got to the kid who was selling them was like Yo this shit bangs its the loudest system around hands down!(luckily i had my truck but didn't want to shut him up just yet) well he pops his truck and in the rats nest was a jl pro wedge sealed jl box with one of the tens and the other ten was in a plexi bandpass box. wtf? all cheap 4g wire and his ground was on the Sheet metal of his trunk. it really wasnt loud but it really sounded like shit. i checked the subs and to my surprise they were solid. i Gave the seller a demo and he jumped when the bass hit. then said his was louder... whatever. the kid claimed to know everything about car audio... ok. ok this Is what really got to me. we got the amps home and i started looking at his settings amp #1, gain all the way up, boost +12, q 4.0, infrasonic freq 45hz, center freq 35, slope -12, hpf 50hz , bass eq on, infrasonic on.
