Okay so I purchased the 2 Deka's. Now the new question is... Do I run one up front and one in the back or do I leave the stock Honda battery up front and run the 2 Deka's in the back???

Go ahead and run the two Deka's in the back with the stock Honda if you got the room and enough to make it look nice...also doing so will cause less voltage drops....

how old is your stock honda battery? depending on its age, Id probably replace it....

this is not necessarily true. if his old battery is shot and cant be revived its not really going to benefit any from it.

This. If the front battery is dead and you hook it up with the 2 Dekas, the voltage would try to level out between the 3 batteries. If the stock battery is "shot" (like N8 said), the two Dekas would also suffer because their resting voltages would be lower in most cases (due to the single bad battery).

Makes perfect sense. What would qualify as "shot"? I'll do some testing with the DMM today.. Just don't know what to look for as far as the battery being dead. The car starts fine. The majority of songs at full tilt on the highway don't bring the voltage below 13.8-13.9 with the exception of Decaf songs and a few random songs. At idle and full tilt on the loudest songs the voltage will see 12.0-12.1 on certain notes but will always jump back up to mid 14's as soon as I hit mute or pause

Great point. I just went outside to take measurements and it will be extremely close. I'll have to wait until they get here to be sure. The date on the battery I have now says January 09. Resting voltage is around 12.6

If your batt doesn't float above 12.5 and wont go any higher. It should rest at 12.8 plus
