jsawdy212 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I would do either a 15 or two 10's since they're about the same cone area. If you get tricky with the box build you could get close to 3.5 cubes after displacement. Sub on passenger side and port up on drivers side. I'm gonna be doing a rebuild with a lvl5 soon when I get money for an amp. BJD3 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Ok, I guess I'm gonna take this on as my new challenge: to do a 150 in this truck without a blowthrough and without removing seating area. Buckets are an option, but not building a center console/sub box. The truck has to remain functional. I'm confused. If functionality is the part that determines whether or not a center console box gets built, why are buckets any more/less functional? You're already removing the center seat. If storage space is your concern, you could probably still fit a reasonable amount of storage space there. Just bring the console portion nearer to the dash, and the sub box from about thigh level to the rear wall of the cab. And I'm almost certain bucket seats are an almost direct swap. Little to no fabrication is needed. If the rear wall of this truck is like the one in the crew cabs though, I seriously doubt you're fitting anything larger than a 10/12 without some modification or a very unique box design.. There just isn't enough height. EDIT: regardless, I'm VERY interested in seeing what you have in store. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive. 2002 Buick Park Avenue DC Level 4 M2 12 D2 Car Audio Bargain 1600.1 Eclipse CD3200 ~2 cubes @ 34 hz. Stinger Roadkill Expert

EDIT: sorry i just dug up a month old thread...
2loudisjustright Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Yeah, good luck with your goal. I had a cousin who had a cutout in a single cab s-10 with 4-12s on 2000 watts and he could only do a 148 on the easy meter. 2000 zx2: Rebuild with 8 12s on a 10k underway!! MY BUILD LOG

Maticus Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I own a 96 s10 single cab and I can get a 144.4 on two DC level 3 12s behind the passenger seat, port behind driver seat. That's on a ZX1500.1 before rise and voltage drop.
