Bakerman Posted May 31, 2011 Report Share Posted May 31, 2011 So today, me and my g/f were walking around Best Buy window shopping, and I decided to take a look in the car audio section. To make a long story short, I got a great deal on a new double din touch screen. It was a Kenwood DDX616. For those who aren't familiar, it is a touchscreen that is rearview camera, and GPS compatible. When they were new, they retailed for $599.99, but b/c of the new years models, you can get a brand new one from b/w $400.00 to $500.00 according to where you shop. Well, they had one left that WAS a display, and was open box...I paid $149.99 for it. I get it home and open it up, and the only thing in the box is the unit itself. So now, I have to go to EBAY and order a few things like the wiring harness and the remote control, and the bluetooth mic that it should've come with. All in all, i'm looking at about another $50.00 invested in EBAY parts to get it working like it should. My only concern is that I hope the unit ACTUALLY works. But on the bright side, if it doesn't, I have 30 days to return it. So, if the unit doesn't work, and I return it, I will be out of about $50.00 of EBAY parts...but I think that is a good risk for the money I saved on the Head Unit.
