Many units use the same internals and they have pulley sizes that will get the same performance at the same RPM. We also build them to have similar performance characteristics so that we can sell someone an alternator for their Explorer and their Tahoe and not have to explain why there is a difference in performance. We also spec them on the low side so we don't have issues with the units producing less power than advertised. That can also mean that we will rate 2 different units the same but one may produce slightly more power. If you purchased your unit within the last year it will be one like THIS.
