It is a simple lesson learned. When I ordered my 18 from another member in this forum, it was packaged with a bunch of re audio left over card board boxes, and a blanket also all wadded up and stacked on each other to make the ultimate absorbant from shock. It worked. the box looked like hell, but the inside was safe. Sorry this happened to you. Maybe next time you will take more care.

Hey, you know what? Maybe the sub fell out of the box while the ups guy was loading it into his delivery truck.

He probably hooked it up to his truck and was jammin' on the sub while doing his deliveries.

The sub probably caught fire and thats where he figured out that he hook it up wrong.

to somebody via ups.

sorry dwight if i was a dick to you. but you just cant blame the shippin carrier. its up to you to package it well enough to take the pounding. when packaging subs you want to use foam so it can absorb all of the shock. foam is relatevely cheap, wallyworld sells those foam poolnoodles for about a buck each. UPS does not cover packaging with newspaper. you need to package to the point where there is no room for the sub to move or shift around at all. if your package cant within stand a 3ft drop then something is wrong on your side.

doesnt matter, point is it was damaged in shipping...basket cracked. its now the SELLER'S responsibility to give his money back.

the coils well, maybe he shouldnt have hooked it up,if he did, but the sub was damaged regardless before he hooked it up, it wont make a lick of diff, that sub is going to get gutted for a recone anyhow.

who's to say this buyer didn't hook up the subs wrong and blow them FIRST and then after he realized his mistake and knew he fucked up took his anger out on his new subs and broke the basket AFTER HE BLEW THEM TO COVER HIS ASS???????

not to be a dick, but your digging yourself a hole. you said you sent them out, and the coils were white/silver. yet when you provided a pic, you said you couldnt even see the coils on the sub. how is that possible? i was going to post that link that megalo did, but he beat me to it. how did you get the subs? shipped to you? did you ever consider shipping it back the same way you got it? imo, you said you didnt package it right, just refund it and call it quits.

i dunno what you expect if you package subs like crap. ups obviously treats all their shit well like shit. you should have packed it with the box the manufacture sent to you. thats what i do just use the box they sent the sub in and stuff it with peanuts for extra protection and put bubblewrap all around the sub and box just for extra safety measures. if you put the sub in a thin box with news paper and they were jiggling around in there then it is your fault for not packaging it properly. consider it a lesson learned and refund him the money it was your fault that you packaged it like shit dont try to blame ups on this.
