Namosh
Ive always heard you want the motor in the ported part so u can smell it if it gets hot. its a band pass 4th order the sub is in a sealed enclosure how would you smell it un less you inverted the sub and ive played and sen 100's of 4th orders even some with the worlds loudest cars none of them invert in a 4th order Ive always heard you want the motor in the ported part so u can smell it if it gets hot. Good call, thanks. he's "heard this befor" dont trust it lol You've NEVER seen anyone invert the subs in a 4th order? Then you aren't looking. Hell, more than half the builds RIGHT here are that way. Louisiana Bass
I've seen builds on here as well with inverted subs in a fourth order. I dont see how it would make a difference inverting the sub, just displace more in the porter part. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be. OrionStang
So maybe I should make a poll topic, "Invert the sub, or not" SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Namosh
So maybe I should make a poll topic, "Invert the sub, or not" I vote invert. Makes perfect sense. May help in cooling the motor. The smell thing. Easier to mount. Looks better. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
OrionStang
I would like Alpine to respond about why it shouldn't be inverted. Trying to get as much information as possible. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
nCOMP1337
Im working on a bandpass t-line and the motor for my box is designed to be in the port section, though that is mainly because i have a shallow sealed section, due to space limitations
