If you are talking about the gauge in your dash its not very accurate, therefore most times wont catch the voltage drops which could be detrimental to your amps. get a digital voltmeter and mount in your dash.

if thats not what you mean dont make me feel stupid cause im the only one to reply.

That's not what he means mate ;)

Most vehicles do not like 16v, I would keep it at 14v or get a stepdown module to run a 16v system to the amps and 14v to the rest of the vehicle.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

i think what he meant was if he could run say a 14 of 16 volt battery on stock electricals with having to use a step down. my answer is that i have heard of people running 14 volt batterys safely but i dont know for sure and i dont know if it varies from car to car

We all do it from time to time. I'll be sitting in my room and all of a sudden yell Purple Dinosaurs because it's quiet... Too quiet...

Jk :)

its a 96 jeep grand cherokee with a adjustable voltage regulator to bypass the ecu one. i was thinken of getten a 14v battery for it but didnt know if i'd fry the electronics

that is why there are fuses and relays in each and every car, jeeps etc. I have seen a battery with both 16v and 12v, this one http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/product.asp?C=1&P=KHC16V so you run you 12 volt stuff of 12 volt side for the non audio stuff and the rest of the 16 volts side, I could be wrong open to correction
