it's weakening on such a low level it won't matter, even just sitting there your subs motor is losing charge. magnets arn't magic they don't stay charged forever. alnico is the longest lasting if I remember right

If a standard magnet loses its charge eventually, and the coil of the woofer is basically an electromagnet, why couldnt the magnet of the subwoofer be replaced with an electromagnet also? Or has someone already done this?

lol

Subwoofer motors are actually charged at over 600 volts dc, not sure the amperage though. The motor to a sub is actually just a chunk of machined metal until they charge it before attaching it to the rest of the subwoofer assembly.

Because that would be insanely inefficient. A stationary semi-permanent magnet has to be charged only once in order to sustain decades worth of use.

Overcharging motors isn't all too uncommon, I know DD offers a "SuperCharged" option to their 3500 series, where they simply give the motor a stronger charge.

So THAT'S what superchargeing is.

What's the downside to this? Reduced life?

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
