Socky
I understand what most of you are saying on that. Another thing that I wonder to. My HU's is max at 35, I don't have insurance so I can't drive my car, but when I am sitting I can play some songs up to 33, but yesterday I went around the block and had it at 33, when I parked all I smelt was subwoofer. I am geussing because of while driving it changes the air pressure in the car? You were probably clipping the subwoofers. SkylarDunn
just so everyone understands, opening your windows expands the cabin space, and if your woofers waveform cant completely form with the windows up, it can get all the cabin space it needs with the windows down. it has alot to do with tuning tho. the higher the tuning, the less space it needs for the wave to completely form. im sure someone will call bullshit on this, but thats just how it works. Anyone who understands constand mouth transmission lines will understand what im trying to say. Quote Getting bass into the cabin of a W124 mercedes is impossible. dwz
my boat-like 300m definitely sounds better tuned with the windows cracked open. still pretty loud with the windows down! i'm tuned at 36hz. at the same time my buddy with a jeep grand cherokee, his system is louder with the windows closed. Truth is, you probably are cliping the subs. If it's a kenwood hu most of them start cliping at 26 out of 35. General rule is to never turn your hu above 75% of it's maximum output. RooTxBeeR
Lol dude you obviously have no idea what your are talking about man. Where did you hear that genetalization from? Also again, both of you failed to read my post, and you the 2nd one to. I can sit and with it at 33 no problem as long as its not to hard of bass, no problem at all. If I am moving it's a different story.
