JZeFF
Alright, so my enclosure in my trunk refuses to stay still... Causing my amps and my box to bounce up and down a good quarter inch. I built a false floor out of plywood, I'm thinking of taking it out and replacing it with 3/4" mdf. My box is double baffled on the sub side, there is no panel flex on the wood, but I'm thinking of adding two vertical 2x4's on the inside of the box. Just for extra stability. (also to lower my net box volume, it's a little too big. I have the false floor bolted through the floor, one on the left and one on the right side, in the middle section. I filled the wheel well with expanding foam... An the box is bolted to the false floor with 4 L brackets... I would bolt the inside of the box, but because the sub is up firing in the trunk the sub needs to be in the box before it goes in the trunk. What else can I do? JZeFF
Its not moving a full quarter inch, i was exaggerating. One amp is mounted to the front of the box using multiple foam spacers. Another amp is mounted to the rear of the box. Then another amp is mounted to the false floor at an angle on the left side of the box... The entire false floor/box assembly shakes, its the two amps on the box that im most worried about. The spacers significantly reduced the vibration, but its still bad enough to have me worried. JZeFF
so the sub is moving enough to lift the box up off the floor? easy solution then, bolt that shit down. I did that when I first installed it. There is 4 thick L brackets bolting the box to te false floor. Then the false floor is bolted through the floor of the trunk...
