Bmike Posted June 26, 2011 Report Share Posted June 26, 2011 ive used both mdf and birch, some differnces i notice are wieght , birch is alot lighter, mdf seems to have nicer edges when using a router, and birch is less forgiving when it comes to getting wet, when mdf gets wet its pretty much a loss, so you kinda gotta wiegh out the good and bad, both are great and comes down to preffernce and money.
