medley123
Ok, so I bought an AQ1200D amplifier to power my AA Havoc. Only issue I am having is figuring out how to wire the amp to 1 Ohm. Theres 2 positive and 2 negative terminals on the amp, and the sub is a 2 ohm DVC. How exactly do I wire the amp to 1 Ohm? It shows in the book that I hook both the possitive on the amp to the possitive on the sub and both the negatives on the amp to the negatives on the sub... But I don't quite understand how that works with a DVC. 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) BeatBox
correct me if im wrong... that sub cant be wired to one ohm by itself, if u had two then u could if u want to run the sub i THINK ur gonna have to run it at 2ohms, along with the amp. from the specs it does 870X1 @ 2 ohm .5ohms 2ohms NOW IF U HAD TWO SUBS! 1ohm DVC you could do this
C-Fizzy
Yup, you're gonna have to wire the amp to .5 or 2 ohms. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
medley123
Woops, I meant to say it was a 2 Ohm, not 1 Ohm. Sorry about that lol fixed 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) medley123
Anyone wanna help me out here? I need to hook up the AQ1200D to 1 Ohm with a 2 Ohm DVC Sub... does it work like a normal setup and I just use 1 of each speaker terminal or do I need to use both sets? 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) AMI CUSTOMS
Just hook the positives and negatives up to the amp, you have two positives and two negatives, the amp has the same, match all of that up, done. You need the sub in parallel to get 1 ohm, the inputs on the amp are paralleled together, so nothing additional is needed, just match it up.
