But as for your soundstream options, I have actually heard good things about the DTR series and I was actually going to get a dtr1700 before I found my crescendo, the only thing that bugged me about it was it's 4ga inputs, I figured a 1700w amp or even their 2200 would have 0ga... But that doesn't mean they are bad or don't do rated, I have actually seen good things about them either way so far... ralimore Posted May 12, 2012 Report Share Posted May 12, 2012 I have a pair of the dtr1700s. Hooked one of them up in a friends blazer running his 2 l7 15s. It ran clean and made the l7s sound a bit crisper than his kicker amp. I expected it to run warm and draw more current but it stayed cool and seemed to be powered kust fine off the 4ga. When I finally get my subs I will bee hooking up 2 of them in my truck and will be hooking up meters to make sure they are getting what they need. Note: the 4ga run was less than 18 inches from his distribution block that is run off 0ga. I don't care if you can hear me from down the block....I just want to make sure you FEEL me from there... Have a look in the want to sale there a vew amps like (3) Powerbass XTA 4000 for 600 each.
