DRauck
The Solo-X 12 would be a downgrade from your two L7s, so I sure hope you go with the 18 Really? I would agree with this I think. In optimal situations, I think your L7's have the potential to be louder than a SoloX. You have to remember, loud or not, its still only a 12 2011 Honda CR-Z Mugen 12" Kicker SoloX Subwoofer Rockford Fosgate t20001bd Pioneer AVIC-X930BT Head Unit Build Log

DRauck
Okay okay. lol Will a 18 sound okay with Rock still? It should. I would not recommend a huge box if you like listen to a lot of rock and don't like having to turn it down. Mine was in 7 cu.ft at 35hz or so and I had to turn the bass down on rock songs to enjoy them because it was so fricken loud. But I also didn't have the mids and highs to compete with it at the time Edit: Big boxes will be loud and boomy. Smaller boxes will be not as loud, but sound very good if built properly. I think the 18 in a sound quality oriented box would be the sweet spot you're looking for 2011 Honda CR-Z Mugen 12" Kicker SoloX Subwoofer Rockford Fosgate t20001bd Pioneer AVIC-X930BT Head Unit Build Log
Supercharged DCs
The Solo-X 12 would be a downgrade from your two L7s, so I sure hope you go with the 18 Really? Yes, because as I have already mentioned, the X 12 has a small ass motor structure compared to it's bigger brother, the X 18. And yes, in a properly built box, the 18 will play rock just fine. Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

Louisiana Bass
Me and supercharged won't have any real helpful input on this sub. I've only ran the kicker cvr, so I don't know much about the solo x. Wait for someone with actual experience AND knowledge can reply. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.
