UnderLoK Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 The best thing to do to get around that inductive pickup is to run ad alts and put up with the idiot light. Another option is to run a negative bus under the hood grounding everthing to it with the sensor between the frame grounds and the amps. Next would be an mla. Lastly is to ignore it (which is what I did for now I do have an mla however just not in). Voltage will never creep out of the 13's though (at least generally). Most of them however have a work around. If you have a tow button that bypasses economy mode (low charge / no charge). On other models turning on the headlights puts it in charging from no charge. Just keep in mind it can take awhile for it to react. The alt manufacturers should be making this far more clear when getting alts. If you have any questions or ideas I might have some answers as I have been fighting with it for awhile. Another option would be to just ground the 4 channel(s) up front through that pickup. In my truck I barely have any voltage drop, but voltage is low. I love mine Looks like the belt wrap is nice and tight covering most the pulleys for minimum belt slip too! Just wait til you have all 4 alts running, and you goto step on that throttle, and its not there no more!! hahaa
