I did run into a major issue though and its going to be on its way back to dpms. every couple rounds I would get a failure to extract/double feed issue. Id have to drop the mag clear it reseat the round and fire away. DPMS is at leasat footing the bill but itll be gone for another two weeks. I've had that happen with ar15s, I broke them down and had to clean off the shipping grease and oil the bolt and extractor, that fixed my problem. Or, one of my ar rifles can't load and feed certain types of rounds, like brand and loads. Like my rock river doesn't like to load umc rounds or vmax rounds. But I love dpms. I'd pick then over anything else, for the price you pay you get way better quality and feel than most any other rifles plus their customer service was really top notch and fast compared to other companies I dealt with. I have had several ar platform rifles, and settled on a custom dpms ap4. Haven't shot a dpms, but shot a smith and lesson AR, its accurate and not much recoil for a .223(the barrel is also made for 5.56) sucks that it keeps jamming, but you'll get it fixed. How do the Japanese feel about bass?You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN.
