TRIPPI's HUMMER IS DONE!!! (for now) New pix page 16

Recommended Posts

This has to be one of the biggest and best builds to ever be documented. Top 3 have to be the hoopty, the berelium (sp?) BMW, and this

I probably wouldn't go that far. People like you don't know about the ice man, or The king of bass, or db don. Honestly the hoopty doesn't impress me at all....

LOL. The hoopty doesn't impress you at all?

Seriously????

Im just blown away by this comment.

Kob's truck may be a little louder but its not even close to the hoopty when it comes to looks or craftsmanship or uniqueness...

Idk why...It just never gave me the shock and awe that a ton of the other builds on here have. Love the paint and wheels...just idk why the system never impressed me. Maybe it was the numbers? (cant remember, maybe they were far below what I thought it was capable of...)

May have to do with the T15ks too...idk why an amp needs to be the size of a mini fridge and cost that much. Also not big on all that flashy shit. :orly3::drink40:

I knew id get flak for the comment...but it just never impressed me even as much as steve's tahoe. :pardon:

Because it has a shit ton of caps. That's the spectacular part of the T15K.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

So is it basically your 'bank' of batteries in a way? I guess I never looked into it that deep...interesting read. Thanks for clearing that up. :drinks:

sorry that a 160.1 kick and 159.1 dash off of 15,000 watts isnt impressive to you. :pardon: It was damn impressive to me. :yahoo: Especially for one try (In other words i did not rip it out, test it, rip it out test it..etc) This thing was built to be USED and enjoy every day, and he has ever since. If you honestly looked at the 2500+ pics in the (uninturrupted) build log (CLICK HERE AND PACK A LUNCH) and you werent impressed, then i dont know what to tell you.

There is a reason the T15k cost that much, it is a working prototype and there is only 18 of them in existance. Plus, they are probably the closest to a PERFECT amplifier then any other amplifier on the market. http://www.Powercube.se if you dont believe me. Here is a link to the PDF brochure of how it works http://www.audiograph.se/Downloads/PowerCube_12p_brochure_complete.pdf The T15k has an almost PERFECT cube. Other 15k amps on the market will look more like the Rocky Mountains then a cube. You get what you pay for. Not only that, but it took 5 years before anyone came out with a 15,000 watt amp so even if you are the first you cant stay the first. That being said, Chicken owns 2 of them. Nobody on earth can say that.

I think the T15k and its technology had MASSIVE potential. It could use some improvements for sure, but it was still basicly a prototye so of course it can be better......but the inventor of it and anyone who has a clue how to work in it, is no longer at RF.

For some reason, I remember the numbers being quite a bit lower than that. I just spent the last hour actually going through the uninterrupted build log and I stand corrected. It was my fault for never truly looking into the T15k...I thought they were just massive things to show off basically. I never took the time to lookup why it was so big and for that I stand corrected. I revoke my previous statement. I am not impressed. Sorry for derailing the thread btw trippi and Ric. Just got off double 12 hour shifts and thats my excuse. :peepwall::noob:

hahah its all good bro...a perfect example of how most people (on other forums) are towards me and my projects though. They are quick to talk but slow to look first and get the facts straight. I am used to it by now. :pardon:

Also, I dont really mind if you arent blown away by it. Your reasons for not being impressed didnt make sense to me though. I would rather someone say they just dont like it rather then the reasons you used :D

that being said, its all good........and BACK ON TOPIC!! sorry rick!

Badass!! I'm still confused by the way the fuses are attached (is it a buss bar?). If one goes, they all go??

The top is all one piece of aluminum, but the bottom is cut into individual 'bars'.

414c160b.jpg

It would make sense if they were individual pieces, but I can't tell if the bottom bar is individual pieces. I would assume it's a single bar with all those screws in between the fuses. Any chance we can get a pic of the fuse rack thingie blown apart with the components inline to see how it assembles together?

Besides that, this build is looking bada$$. Thumbs up to Ric and Trippi for making the absurd a reality. :trippy:

If you look just to the right of where the bolt is leading into the wire terminal, you can see where the bar is split.

I'm such a :noob: LOL. A while back when I saw the T15K for the first time, I actually went on Ebay and searched for one.
