kickass audio Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 You can either take it off and go to advance automotive or another local store and they can test it or just take a battery and apply a +12v to the starter solenoid wire and it should spin the starter and engage it. nickers Posted July 18, 2011 Author Report Posted July 18, 2011 oh boy was it bad, turns out the starter was pushed out and stuck in the cranking position, so basically once the car started the flywheel spun way to fast for the starter and just destroyed it, there was no grinding of teeth or anything, serves as a warning if you do what i did for the alt testing make sure everythings fine before you drive. chevrolet all day er day.
