Ok so when i upgrade my system im planning on having either 1 audio que 1200D (3 x 40 amp fuses) or either 1 audioque 2200D (external fuse rating of 200) and i was wondering would a --Power Bastards Fitzall High Output Alternator Total Output: 220+ AMPS Idle Output: 110+ AMPS Full Output at 1200 RPM--- Be enough to power the 2200 watt system or the 1200 watt system atleast? I just want to make sure that i give my amp the correct amount of power and Ive found it difficult to figure out what type or how big of a alternator i would need if any, and this is the only alternator that i could find that "might" even fit my 1999 saturn sl1 1.9L |4 . So can anyone help me out here and give me a opinion?

That alternator and a good battery should power either amplifier, but if your looking to power both I'd suggest a couple of large AGM batteries.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

im running a AQ2200D @ 1 ohm on my Stock 160 amp alt and 1 D3400 and a stock battery, the amp is powered off the D3400 though, with very little voltage drop at idle.

if you got that Alt, and the Biggest XS power Battery you can fit under the hood with the Big three in 1/0, it should power it nicely

I had a setup very similar to this and i went the cheaper route and started out with a big xs power battery under my hood and then i did the big-3 upgrade and it worked great for up to 2000w rms. Then i had voltage drop and got a mechman alt and it fixed everything. I always recommend to get as big of a battery as you can fit under your hood, perform the big-3, and then when you can afford it or if your voltage drop is bad get a high output alternator.

yea i figured that since my voltage dropped bad with my old cheap system ( ran only a mtx thunder 500 2 chan) and it would drop to 13.1 when the bass hit hard, i figured that it was safe to say ill need a h/o alt no matter what, man all this stuff cost serious $ :( lol

id becareful with the power bastards. twisted child bought one of their universal alts and it didn't fit his hundi. you could contact dc power or mech man about a custom alternator. and you should get a couple of agm batteries to help maintain voltage

The only way to delete your SMD account is for you crawl to steve meades door step on your knees and pleade for his forgiveness and acceptance to be released...He will either grant your wishes.....or choke you with a large piece of 0 gauge and electrocute you by hooking up a solid gold DC 12k at 0.000001 ohm and 10000 volts to your eye sockets and blow your head apart

You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow.
