ghostismyname Posted July 18, 2011 Report Share Posted July 18, 2011 Ok so when i upgrade my system im planning on having either 1 audio que 1200D (3 x 40 amp fuses) or either 1 audioque 2200D (external fuse rating of 200) and i was wondering would a --Power Bastards Fitzall High Output Alternator Total Output: 220+ AMPS Idle Output: 110+ AMPS Full Output at 1200 RPM--- Be enough to power the 2200 watt system or the 1200 watt system atleast? I just want to make sure that i give my amp the correct amount of power and Ive found it difficult to figure out what type or how big of a alternator i would need if any, and this is the only alternator that i could find that "might" even fit my 1999 saturn sl1 1.9L |4 . Supercharged DCs Posted July 18, 2011 Report Share Posted July 18, 2011 That alternator and a good battery should power either amplifier, but if your looking to power both I'd suggest a couple of large AGM batteries. kickass audio Posted July 19, 2011 Report Share Posted July 19, 2011 I had a setup very similar to this and i went the cheaper route and started out with a big xs power battery under my hood and then i did the big-3 upgrade and it worked great for up to 2000w rms. Then i had voltage drop and got a mechman alt and it fixed everything.
