How to find distortion on the bass knob with DD-1

Recommended Posts

Well i watched steve new vid on the DD-1.. Well i ordered one.. and i didnt understand a part i believe he didnt explain... Well at 5:37 There is a dot that steve puts on the guy bass knob telling him to not go past it... Its a white dot passed the halfway mark... He didnt explain how to do this. Do anyone know how he did this and could clear up for me??? I dont want to set it then clip on the bass knob

also when tuning the DD-1 since i use ipod and USB. Does that mean i tune with a USB with a downloaded tone..

You know how you avoid that? Man the fuck up and bang her best friend sister mom cousin worst enemy and never look back.

He probably set the gains with the knob set at that white dot. When the gain knob went past that dot, the AMP would distort

So when i go to set it i should set the knob maxed out??

i think its because the amps is huge and will prob blow the subs brains out

i would like some insight on that too, i kinda wondered about it

that's what I'd do. If I'm thinking about this correctly, the only possible distortion would be from the input source (CD, iPod, etc) if you set it with the knob up all the way.

im just gonna guess and say that tuning the bass knob would be just like tuning an amp or any line driver. first find the highest unclipped level from the headunit, then the bass knob, then the amp

1999 Audi A4 1.8T:::

4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order

Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually)

MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs

Boston S50 Components in Front

Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear

40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier

so if I have a multi channel line driver, I would do the same thing as I would with the amps, sound for that, I was waiting for some one to answer the line driver question as it has not been already answered good.gif

2 birds one stone, thanks yahoo.gif
