how big of a voice coil are you looking to put in that. i know there are alot of threads on fix my speaker about people wanting too much from their subs

The only way to delete your SMD account is for you crawl to steve meades door step on your knees and pleade for his forgiveness and acceptance to be released...He will either grant your wishes.....or choke you with a large piece of 0 gauge and electrocute you by hooking up a solid gold DC 12k at 0.000001 ohm and 10000 volts to your eye sockets and blow your head apart

You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow.

a 3 inch voice coil should do it...but i am open to suggestions....i already have a form made up for vacum forming the star shape cone...lol it was for a different project thought i might be able to use it on this one ... i have found triangles, hexagons, octagons, ovals and squares...by my count that make 5 other shape, than a circle and i am sure that they were told that there was a reason that speakers are round....if anything i will have a one of a kind shaped subwoofer to run.... And i am about being a one of a kind person... ty for the websites that you have shared they are exactly what i am looking for....when i get the basket and motor made and attached ill post a pic...

I cant wait to see this, a star shaped woofer!! it will have soo many issues its not even funny.

wont be linear, wont have much cone area, id leave the subwoofer design/making to the pro's your a noob that has no idea.
