paulgroce
I have a massive audio N4 amp and wasn't sure which I should get between the lvl 4 and the xl. I know that the xl peak wattage of two subs is greater than my amps but I wasn't sure if that really mattered. I want two 15's of either one. Which one should I go with? and yes I am upgrading the electrical I have a 250 amp alt and a KHC2000. kam311
Peak power doesn't mean anything at all usually. Go by the Rms wattage Quote so far... kam311
Yeah normally it is 2x the power on most decent brands and some brands don't even use peak at all! But a lot of the real shitty brands are 3 or 4x their rms power... Just a trick for people that don't know shit Quote so far... 7jezuz7
This is what you have right? So some level 4's would be good, or even level 3's with which you'd have some power to spare. BJD3
If I had to make that decision again, I'd get the XL. It should do fairly well with the power you're giving it, it has more motor force, and if you decide to upgrade power, you can do that. I've not yet heard a good reason to get the 4 over the XL. I'm not sure but I think he means to get two of them, so still a good idea? Although, like you said he can always upgrade power, which who knows if he will. CJ18
2 level 4s will be just fine on your amp. If you want you can add the level 5 upgrade which I would recommend doing. I would only go with the xl if you are planning on putting 2k per sub not split between a pair. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions.
