Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Dave Brooks
Thanks Roscoe, Yeah, that was the idea last season... keep it visibly "quiet" and surprise folks in the lanes. It worked most of the season, but my friend and good competitor Brian Young was onto my little scheme in relatively short order. He spanked me hard at one of the shows in Georgia last year and I was scrambling as hard as I could to stay ahead of him after that... Ironically, he had a similar theme as mine... quiet install with wicked audio results. This season, I'm stepping it up in the visual department a little. I recognize that a lot of what we do in car audio is measured by visual stimulation, so I've been burning the midnight oil to make folks turn their heads a little this year. At least, maybe, do a double-take instead of walking right by at the shows... LOL Nothing spectacular, mind you...
LSN2meBoom916
I would put a NEW style kicker grill on those subs in the foot area...or maybe a custom plexi grillw/ leds lighting it for each one...they look like they're askin for a stompin. kingsuv
Dave, Looks like a killer sounding truck. I couldn't do the subs in the floor, I would step in the real quick. Or dump coffee in it I wish I was closer so I could compare notes and setup between yours and my wifes 250. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Dave Brooks
LOL definitely takes a little gettin' used to, but I really wanted to put the T3's in for the MECA finals and that was about the only way to make it happen in the limited time I had available. Thankfully, I wasn't doing install at the MECA finals... the judges would have had their way with me in sub install! LOL... The concept is great for SQ though. So I'm working on a new design in the same location that'll make it a bit more friendly to the feet... of course, I'll keep you posted as things come together... I like the criticism as much as the compliments Keeps me honest... edit - KingSUV... there's a guy on the DIY forum that goes by the name of BigRed in California that has built something similar, his subs are in a blow-through, but other than that it looks pretty close... maybe he'd be someone to contact? He's using the same midbasss, mids and tweets as I am and I think he's got DD's in the blow-through... Just a thought...
