What I do know is that the sa motor is 7in diameter 3" tall with 2 1" slugs... Fuggin beasts man!!!!! IIRC, its the same motor, but the 8's have less excursion than the 12s. So they rate them lower. From what I'm given to understand, they will fail mechanically long before they do because of the coil not being able to take the power. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. If you put them in a large box with a lot of power, yes. Then again, that's any woofer.
