Do you have any idea on what volume and tuning you used? Lol read the solo x manual it says, 150 sq in. of port, how ever long, in a 10 cube box. supposed too be 35hz tuning. lol....................................... It looks bigger than that, maybe it's the picture? Also, did you make the box 10ft^3 after all displacements? It seems as though it probably had issues creating enough back pressure, as the box appears to be quite deep. N yeah it was 10 cubes AFTER speaker and port displacement. But im sure i screwed the design up by not bracing it right, and i had a internal 2x4 on the wall behind the port obstructing it. I am sure it had somthing to do with that enclosures failure, and everything else I did wrong back then lol along with mounting my amp on the back of that flexy box. Anything like 40-50 hz was SUPER weak output! n the coil would heat up when I went above or below my 4-5 loud frequencies lol..... But all i see that going is lowering your tuning and creating a whole lot of cancelation. The designer did it for a reason, i think it was cuz i didnt have enuff space too make a front firing port work out right. I found him on utube, it wasnt easy i had to track him down. He designed a few boxs for other people, and i was impressed. He designed an enclosure for a guy with x1 15" on 1k rms tuned at 36hz and did a full hair trick not walled just sittin in the back. not sure of the brand of 15 or amp but regaurdless he knew how too put a woofer in its natural Habitat. I am very confedent in the design, But am not too stubburn too say i COULD be wrong... I had too take several pictures of my car with a ruler showing placment of the wall, depth of cabin space, height, width, angles, both at the top of the windshield and bottom. Even had to go dig up the resonance frequency of the Focus zx3. Witch is around 55hz.
