kickass audio
Its too bad you arent near me. Id come over with this http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Tools/Pages/ToolDetail.aspx?pid=Multi-Max and use the baseboard cutting tool to slice that screw in half. It would kill my blade since its made for wood not metal but it would still cut the screw either way. Another thing i thought of but i wouldnt do is to get something like a chisel and put it underneath the gasket of your sub and onto where the bolt is and get a hammer and wack at the screw enough to get it to break. OrionStang
There's no room for bolt cutters guys. The screw comes up MAYBE 1/8", probably less. I can hardly get a flathead screwdriver between the basket and box. I'll update what I try and what works (or doesn't) tomorrow. sayhuh?
I think that may be enough to get them to start a cut, then take vise grips and rock it back and forth...or try one of these. http://www.harborfreight.com/oscillating-multifunction-power-tool-68303.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiOTM0ODg4NDkiLCJza3UiOiI2ODMwMyIsImlzIjoiMTkuOTkiLCJwcm9kdWN0X2lkIjoiODAyOCJ9 Surprising, they work quite well lol. I've got the brand name version of this and I've used it for the exact reason the op needs. Its one of my most used tools. Mine has an extra knife blade attachment that I use to clean the surround and spider off when I do a recone. I can recone an 18 in about 20 min from start to finish. matt14
Same thing happened to me the other day. What I did was grabbed one of my pry bars and pryed up on the sub, then it should put some pressure on the nut to be able to unscrew by hand.
