my silverado is totaled

The guy in the tacoma better have got a fat ass ticket for texting and driving, sucks to see that you gotta look for a new com truck but good thing that you guys are ok

I agree with everything in this post. There are some things you can do while driving. Texting is NOT one of them.

The more it goes, the more I think it should be treated more harshly. You hit someone while texting, you lose your license. Period.

Accidents happen. That's why we have insurance. But when you do something that is just so obviously avoidable, it means you don't understand and/or aren't mature enough for the responsibility that comes with piloting a two ton brick down the highways.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

Might be worth it to keep the truck and see what a frame shop would charge to straighten it. May come out the situation with two vehicles, even if the truck gets a rebuilt title. Sucks to see it happen, but hopefully it'll turn out for the good for ya bro. Best of luck with it all

thanks guys

and yeah i was thinking about buying it back but i dont know if its worth going through all that trouble.

plus sometimes its hard to sale vehicles when they have a salvage title.

I could haul the truck into the competitions with our family suburban, idk

the truck had 102,000 miles on it,it wasn't bad for being a 2000 silverado, never had problems with it,other than the driver's stupid

window regulator,it died on me and the interior was super clean. Oh well

I bought my Mustang with a rebuilt title, and you'd never know the difference. Car drives amazing. If done right, cars with salvage/rebuilt titles can be great buys.

I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England.

Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.

ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

hmmm,it's still never too late

if its not going to cost me over 6k

to have it back and running back to normal on the freeway/streets

than i would be down,i just dont know how going into the rebuilt title works

what to expect,what to do.

I'll try to do some research on it in a bit

Bummer about your truck. I was rear ended and my mustang got totaled. The car still drove and the insurance wasn't giving me squat for the car since it was an 86 model. I opted to keep the car since it still drove. When it came to renew the tags I was not allowed to since the car had been deemed totaled my the insurance co. Make sure you can renew the tags if you opt to keep and fix the truck. Different states have different laws regarding such matters. Good luck. Glad to hear you're okay.

Damn eric sorry to hear this bro, but at least no one was hurt, and better yet you cant get fucked out of the money like i did when i had my accident.

As far as going the rebuilt/ salvage title i wouldnt do it personally, its too much of a pain in the ass and trying to insure one is a whole different kind of trouble. Id just count your blessings and try to go find something else. I dont know how it works out there but i know here the insurance company would have to pay you the value of the truck if it was sitting on a lot. check kbb.com to get an idea of what theyre going to pay
