NotEnoughBass
I am going to buy two obsidian audio D4 15s here pretty soon. The specs for the boxes are sealed 2-2.5 ft^3 and ported 2.5-3.75 ft^3 @ 28-32 Hz. I have enough room to fulfill all these requirements. I do want it to be loud but i want it to sound great. I"m mostly going for a SQ setup so... Big box tuned low? Small box tuned high? IDK??? What should I do for a SQ box? Ammonium
Id go with the sealed for sure, for SQ. Lost a lot of SQ for SPL when I got my first ported box. But I like LOUD vs Quality. I just like to get my backrubs while I drive. Quote 1990 Cadillac Seville. 123,000 miles. NotEnoughBass
I don't want to sacrifice low end because of a port. I would like to peak at like 30-35 Hz. Someone correct me if im wrong but you never know what your car is going to peak at. U can tune your box to a 34hz and then come to find out that your car peaks at like 46hz. just my 2 cents. Again someone correct me if im wrong.
