Been getting stupid incredible results on spl gains,especially while wired stupid low on only one DC Audio 9.0k!! Planning on strapping another just for finals and retire the Malibu,still more testing to do! Gained .5db when I dropped the level 5 in. Disclaimer: direct drop in was not done with a box build specifically for either sub. Box was originally build for a havoc 18. Its more of a lateral move and Im not sure just how much more you can get out of your install at this point. you could be louder with the mayhems could be louder with the level 5s. could be louder with one today and the other tomorrow. dropping new woofers wouldnt nearly be as beneficial as if you were jumping up from a havoc or level 3 to a level 5 or mayhem. you follow that? With that said I'd like to toss out thanks for the Team Effort in this build. Eric, Tim, Lupe, Josh (skinny port man) and AI James for help with the port! I only wish I can obtain something like this for my car! The design spooked me for a few minutes if it were 1 inch taller the doors wouldn't have shut with out hitting the box. Mha Posted September 13, 2011 Report Share Posted September 13, 2011 Sorry to high jack but I got my First dc sub today. its an xl 12. all I can say is WOW! I got it on ebay, payed 250 shipped wich now that I look at the sub was a steal! I think it a 3rd hand-me-down sub I think. I seamed as if the guy got it from someone else and the coil still looks brand new, spiders still stiff and souround bearly broken in.
