Mechman Alternators

2nd try doesn't work, FITS NOW

Recommended Posts

I purchased an alternator back in August, first one didn't work, wrong plug and output setup. So waited a couple of weeks, they sent me another one, correct plug and output setup but the mounting bolt locations are now 1/2" to far apart and wont fit. Is there a way to get hold of someone from mechman after hours?

more than likely not. unless the mechman guys see this you really have no other options. After all they are a business and conduct business during business hours. Do you happen to have any pics of this or vehicle information? maybe some one here can help you. Its not like them to send the wrong unit twice.

It's for a 2005 dodge neon sxt. I made some phone calls and I might be fabricating a new bracket. Not what I really want to do but right now it's the only option I can see doing. I will take pics when I get back to my car. I'm taking the stock bracket to my brother in law's now. I happened to have some 1/2"plate steel

I can build a Denso just like the one you already have that will be a more compact mount, the ears are @ 10 and 2, very close to the housing. If you want to install a 2nd unit in limited space that's the way to go. 220 all the way to 320a available.
