Vooloco Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I'm looking at buying a pair of fi audio 18" Q's or Bl's. Ok, for the sub part I want SPL when I want and I want SQ when I want. Witch sub do you think would be the best overall for both categories? Also for the enclosure (I've never built one before) if the sub says 5-8 cubic feet for a ported box and I want 2 in a box does that mean the box would have to be like 6 cubic feet total or like 12 cubic feet total? I don't know if that will fit in my trunk. I guess I might start looking at a fi N2 or N3 instead of 2 18".

I guess I might start looking at a fi N2 or N3 instead of 2 18". did you say trunk? as in trunk of a car? that would be a feat to try and put a couple 18's in a trunk. i mean it's been done, but for you i think if you manage to put a single 18 in your trunk, you'd be just fine. and all the tech specs like enclosure size are listed on fi's website. specs given are per woofer, so if you want to put 2 woofers in, double the specs. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.

Also yes a car trunk. i think a single 18 will be plenty. i doubt you will have room for 2 15's. with cars, usually less is more. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.
