csill420 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Share Posted September 27, 2011 Hi guys, i have 4 type r 15ns running on one hifonics hfi 3000d mono. i Bought all the subs and amp brand new, there is kicker 1/0 power ground for the amp and kicker 4 gauge for the speaker wire, so i don't think its the wiring or amp burning up, but after i play the subs for around 5 mins maybe 10 actually they start to smell, i think its the voice coils but i don't know. The subs are dual 4 ohm bridged to 2 ohms, the amp gains and bass eq are all set up right so there is no distortion. Also i have the big 3 upgrade and another kinetic in the trunk soon to be 2. the hifoncs amp isnt the best amp and ill be switching it for a RF 4000bd soon, but its hitting hard (around the 149 150 range) Quote Fuck warning points.
