Sometimes the protection section that monitors heat of the board car have a false reading and cause the amp to protect. OR it may have an issue. I had a batch of DAT 1k's that need a small fan added to the board to blow across the control board. In either case I would have it looked at. Yup, First one Ive seen thermal like this, I have seen protect issues from high voltage though. Im still searching for his invoice. As long as it wasent bought as a used amp from someone it and is less than a year old falls under the warranty program and we will get it shipped to db-r after we play with it here and can confirm the same results.
