Yeah I was going to see if they could do something to help prevent it in the future but with the Italians they may not have a clue what I'm asking them to do.That spot in the middle also seems like a nice place for a small 6" mid like my wife's BMW has.So I may keep the old dash to experiment on.

Okay so I finally got around to pulling the seats out to start dynamatting the floor and cutting the wood for the box.I got almost all the wood cut except the baffles and bracing.Thing is this was my first time using Torres and I need a second or a couple hundred set of eyes to tell me if this looks okay and is the port length really only 13.5 with no bending.The box is not glued or screwed together right now.I just sat it up so you could get a look at it.I know I'm tuning high but it's pretty hollow in there LoL!!!

Yeah I guess it should be okay but I dont understand why it has you cut the sides shorted for the baffle when you are porting the box. Seem like it would only have you cut the baffle side for the subs shorter and make the opposite side go the full length.Either way I'm going to try and re cut the side piece tomorrow,The baffles and some bracing. I'm still waiting on more people to chime in also about the torres shot I put up.

I dont know anything about those subs or where the sweet spot is/tuning. but it looks like you have torres down perfect on how to use it.

if your curious about "common port walls" its explained very well in the sticky where you download torres from, and even provides pictures.

im sure you will wait for others to chime in, but how you used it looks good.

damn 9 width and 15 length for 36 hz tuning, i have to go 3 width 19" length for that!

must be nice having all the room in the world to work with <.<

sorry about the damage caused to your rims, im not sure if it was stated (i only read your posts), but it could have been due to the straps they use to keep your vehicle in place?

i am definitely keeping an eye on this for updates.

First off thanks for checking my build out.Yeah I love all the room I have to play with in this truck.Makes it easy to decide what to do but it can also make you start wondering about something bigger also.I have been readin just about every post about torres and the problems people run into so I think i got it down packed.Just wanted to see what others think about it.When I first picked my truck up my friend that was with me said exactly what you said about them bending the rims when they strapped it down.It's okay I filed the paperwork today and now I'm just waiting for their repsonse back.

fingers crossed for you. hopefully they dont try and screw you like every other type of claim/insurance does.

"oh we're only liable for 20% of the damage caused to your vehicle, you shouldnt have put custom rims on it, or bought a white truck" blah blah.

my friend hit a curb doing 45 and ripped his axle out of his transmission, insurance deemed it a total loss.. when we went to inspect it all they did was take the rim off, i crawled under the car and there was no A frame damage, just the front arm..

they will try and screw with you, the only place that ive ever been to is best-buy where they honor their insurance.

we literally were at the cash register, just paid for his kicker CVR and bought the insurance.

we asked if we could throw it down on the ground and if they would replace it, they said yes. we threw the bitch on the ground and they had another one brought to us.

i would keep my hopes high about them paying out the full amount for them, but in reality the odds are so against you :/ its sad really.

Yeah it would be nice if they paid the full amount but I'm going to hope that they at least pay for the rims because the dash I can live with since everybody else has the same cracks.I will just stop drill the dash so it doesn't get any worse until I can glass it up myself(Since apparently the Italians can't glass it).

if they replace the dash, you could still glass the cracked one, just to see how it would turn out.. worst case you ruin an already replaced dash.. hint hint
