scooter99
I've got the same damn thing going on right now. Been off all week long, and tried to get a shit load done in that time. I've made good progress, but nothing like I wanted too. But I can't make it all happen over night as much as I'd like to! Keep up the great work man! Yeah with me the wife gets mad if I spend too much time on my truck so I try to balance it out. It's really only been me working on this build so that's why its taking so long and the fact that I have to wait forever to get something when I order it.I did get some of the suggested things done to the box so got some progress.Just got to take some pictures. Real96SS
Finally got my bedliner in to coat the box with. This stuff was super easy to work with and looks amazing on the box.I put one coat on and plan on putting on a second once the first dry. Also since I had wires ran I decide to hook up one of the subs to see what it sounded like. All I can say is that it was stupid loud. Can't wait to hear both of them in action.Hopefully by the end of next week the box will be done and subs in so I can focus more on finishing up the amp and battery rack. The box really needed that bracing because with one sub running on not even half power the top of the box was flexing so I took you guys advice on added more bracing and glass. So we will see how it holds up next time it when its both subs powered up and then I will go from there. Also I'm doing bolt terminals on the back of the box.Reason being is I want to be able to Link the amps and see what this system can do at .5ohms.If its louder then I will have it at 1ohm daily and .5 for shows. Real96SS
how did the bedliner work, It hasn't fully dried yet but from where it sits now its exactly what I needed to get any water from messing up the box.It also came with more than enough so I have some leftover to do the other parts of my amp rack and cover panels.Once it dries completely it should be solid just like any other bedliner. Real96SS
Well haven't taken many pictures because I been just trying to get an idea on the mounting of equipment and routing of wires.I figured it out finally and had power running to both sub amps. Finally got a taste of what they both sound like and I have to say I'm impressed with how hard its hitting right now.I still have to run one more run of power from the front and do a couple grounds so I think the best is yet to come.On another note I did run into a problem with trying to use the outputs on the 3500 to run to the second one and they don't work.Says its only for linking the two.So now I'm trying to figure out the best way to get rca's to both without losing any power from the rca's. Right now for testing purposes I just used one on each amp.Not sure if it matters hopefully not.Any inputs on this RCA issue?
