vette sub project

Recommended Posts

I am a novice subwoofer and enclosure installer and am in need of some advice. I have a c6 corvette that I am adding a sub system to and i dont know where to start for a driver. I am a dealer for dd audio and re audio but i rarely get any bussiness in the small town im in thus i have limited experience wth different subs and enclosures. My problem is i listen to metal like mudvayne disturbed... and i listen to hip hop. I need a sub that can punch your brains out on kick drums and get low with bass drops. I am very paticular about everything and wanna do things right as this will also be a demo car thanks for any and all help- zane

... aside from n8 being correct, i'd try to jam a pair of 10's into it at least..

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

if your a DD dealer put DD subs in there. They are beast and if anyone see's your car and gets a demo you can say you are a dealer and maybe get some sales that way. just my 2 cents.

Go with what n8 said. haha

Aight, I'll get some pics up. I've been up to my neck in work at my regular job. I have some 1508s that nobody wanted brand new in the box. I also have a 1510 and an re Sxx 10 so I'm trying to weigh out the option and what would sound best in the car. Kind of worried about port noise.

I would say "some 1508´s".
