I have 8g to 4g adapters on the speaker outputs then its spliced to true 8g wires hooked up to my subs. Id like to see if there is any gain or drop from running 8ga straight.from amp to subs thats what Iam doing just had no point to compare. CJ18 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Share Posted November 6, 2011 I dont know if its overkill or not but I am using 4ga to run from my amp in the bed of the truck into the truck to the bolts that I am using as terminals. Were its lower voltage and higher amperages. Bigger is better and less resistence.. especially with the wattage we are running.. slap those xls in there cj. Just use some gorrilla tape or goop on those surrounds temporarly. I want to see the results going from the 3s to xls on the same power. Is the ohm load the same?
