pitchblackcls6
Unfortunatly i do not have the luxury of being able to try many subs. Yes i have searched, but low frequency extension, and anything similar does not tield the results im looking for. please bass-heads help! hello, im having a hell of a time finding a sub for what i want. im looking for a sub that kills the basslines of rap like jeezy n such while still being musical, and LOUD. I had a RE XXX, 2009, and it killed the lows but the output was lacking for my taste. Now i have a AQ SDC2.5, the output is killer, but the low extension is just not there like the XXX. Any suggestions? Im doing a half-wall in my acura so space is not very important. Ive scoured the forums and internet but google doesnt read minds so if i dont type exactly what others have written then im out of luck.. thankyou for your time. 412 CVX
if money isn't a concern i'd say try the BTL N2's, sundown nightshades, or hell if you have the money get the AA SMD's Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. teardrop
also the digital designs make some nice stuff two but a AA smd 18 or 15 would be nice on the right power

TeamHT
It is not your sub you should be looking at, look to your enclosure. And to think the XXX and SD2.5 are anywhere comparable....sigh Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
speedball1978
Lol of course the box makes the biggest difference but skar isn't expensive and can play lows pretty good
pitchblackcls6
i appreciate the input yall. and i understand those two subs are nowhere near comparable. i was just trying to describe what i was looking for. the XXX was low mean and "thick" the AQ is tight and punchy. right now the AQ is tuned to 35Hz i was going to go with the recommended, but i love that low, suck the air out of your lungs bass. anyone have any exp tuning an AQ to about 30hz? Also, i said i do not have the money. i hate so sound like a newb, but i hate losing money on subs when they dont fit what im looking for. again, i do appreciate the input. brain fart: my buddy has a soundstream XXX 15 and it hits like the RE XXX did. Could the low frequency extension be due to the differing XMAX? Basically im looking for my sub to play 30HZ like most subs play 45HZ. Im going to try a new box with more bracing, lower tuning and see what happens. thanks yall
