I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. DubNDodge
I am an electrical engineering researcher at the University of Arkansas working in IC Design focusing on extreme temperatures exceeding 500 degrees Celsius. Currently taking a intro to semiconductors right now. So I know it will be impressive once we can reach that temperatures. My prof for that class is ahead of that research department here at OSU and specializes in quantum tunneling. My buddy got offered a research position under my professor. So I'll get to hear about all the cool shit he does. My group specializes in Silicon-Carbide and I personally have tested bare die to 300C (limit our probe station can go to) no issue and package die to 517C both on hot plates and in kilns. We also work with Gallium-Nitride and Silicon-Germanium components. I'm currently looking for someone to take me as an intern, but for some reason people just aren't impressed with my research. Someone even said "Oh so you have experience designing 12-volt, 15-volt and over 500-volt circuits? Well we are looking for someone that has experience with lower voltage so we don't need you." Like wtf does that even mean?
