viper 5901 headlight flash when unlocking

Recommended Posts

Nate, i tried to do like you said with setting the parking brake and remote starting it. It does the same thing. My running lights are all on except for my headlights but when i press the unlock button on my remote then the headlights themselves flash 3 times and go back to being off.

lols which i said in post 3....

but no no no the person that paid a shop to install the alarm knows it wired correct!!! bahahhahaahha

Its to the point of why bothering helping people if they dont want to test things themselfs or even listen to what they said.

Pretty sure I also said something about disconnecting the dlr's too

Damn it sucks being a installer and knowing what the other installer probably did, but the customer saying otherwise.....

maybe my directechs website lied to me...... haha!

I still dont understand how the installer could have hooked it up to the headlights if the parking lights flash normally during lock/unlock use. just look and see if you can pop your headlight switch out and see if the gray/black wire is tapped. Or look under the left rear seat and see if the brown wire is tapped. if the installer hit the headlights it would be a white wire at the switch or a white wire under the left rear seat.

If he hooked up directly to the headlights, the headlights would flash consistently. the parking lights flash consistently and the headlights only flash when unlocking with remote start.

If the installer did wire to the headlights, i would like someone to explain how the parking lights flash during normal use and not the headlights
