LoudBimmer Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 my tank is kinda sad at hte moment. i need to do a water change bad and when you are at about 180 gallons of total water volume it takes a lot of effort and time that i dont have right now. we;ve pumped over ten grand into ti so another thousand for pendants isnt that big a deal. when they first came out the price was way outrageous. Now the decrease in electricity going from 500 watts of halide lighting to the same output in leds will pay for itself within the first year. I made a huge mistake when I started out with 10 gallon tank. I should of went with 30gallon+ . Up to date, I spent close to 3 grand on it. ( I kept all of the receipts) I thought about buying LED lights, which is around $300 for my tank, but for $200 more I can get a LED nano cube. The problem is, I don't have anywhere to put it right now, since we still live in apartment. There is a guy that had a 200+ gallon tank in apartment we live at, but he had to get a special permission from supervisors and had to move in to different apartment which doesn't have basement underneath it. But, he moved out couple years ago. yeah we started out with a 12 then a 37 and then a 55 then the 150 with the sump. Why cant you just set the cube up where your ten is? the footprint wont be that much bigger. I know, but my parents dont want it now. Since I still live with them, I cant do much I also have my eye on red sea max tanks. Damn guys! Lets see ur tanks!!! Not too clean, I'm lazy lol
