cjN
Yes. Just make sure you have the electrical to support it. daniel1204
Yeah that's cool I'm just making sure I only require 2000w Rms from it so it won't strain it too much I understand I could have problems if I wired it down to .5 only so I could pull more than 2500 from it, and by electrical you mean 14.4 stable after voltage drop HO alternator 1/0 gauge wiring all of that gear ?? cjN
Just a few decent sized batteries would do, but yeah 14.4 would be real good. Emmet
Maybe I am reading this wrong, but if you only require 2000w, I wouldn't run it at .5 ohm. There is no real way to limit the power that comes out of it and not only would you be putting a strain on the amp for power you don't need, you are voiding the warranty by doing so, provided it has one. That was how I read it too, the amp doesnt only put out the power your subs will take... the amps gonna put out all the power it makes at .5 whether your subs like it or not Quote i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. You want this to happen to you? Give decent handshakes people. I was gifted with an innate ability to distribute wholesale ass beatings in a timely and orderly fashion. Decaf
there's a gain for a reason... thats how you limit the power, geez question should be will the low ohm protect circuit turn on at .5ohm dcr... answer is no
Team_DC-Derrick
why not just get a amp that does the power you want at 2 ohms, as to not push the amp to hard? easier to blow a amp at .5 than it is at 2 ohms LOL Edited November 20, 2011 by Team_DC-Derrick Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall.......
