Coils that fit kicker L7 and Alpine R 15" I have the coils in D1 and D0.9 1.8"ww and 2"ww Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. audiofanaticz Posted November 25, 2011 Report Share Posted November 25, 2011 its considered a 3inch, but smaller then a 3inch IMO they are not worth reconing unless you take apart the motor, and machine the top plate out to fit a larger coil. The gap in them is extremely tight. The stock coil is a 2layer aluminum flatwound, and dont take anything close to their rated rms power. They are built really chincy. A 3 inch coil is never 3 inches tho, it could be from 2.8 all the way up to 3.25 inches depending on sub, but still are considered 3 inch. Dont get me wrong, the motor looks BEAST as hell, but like i said, the gap is so damn tight that they use a cheap 2 layer coil. I tried a few different coils I had laying around and non even came close to being small enough to fit.
