inm Posted December 9, 2011 Report Share Posted December 9, 2011 Got a new job, today was my first day. A company called Velocity Micro, you may have heard of them. They are a small company from around here that produces Android tablets, custom built-to-order PCs, monitors, and everything. What I actually do is build the PCs, and to be honest, before today, I had never built one before. At the end of the day, I built one with the help of a mentor, and one all by myself. Very easy to do, or maybe I'm just a quick learner. All in all, I think I'm gonna like it here. Pretty laid back, joking atmosphere. I was told as long as it gets done, looks good, and nothing get's broken, have fun. I don't doubt that it will get boring after a while, but it is something I've always wanted to do (building PCs), I just never had the money to build my own. I'm just waiting for the "real" fun, when we do big orders, which apparently happens a lot. They apparently did a lot of about 20 for some company recently.
