I know I'll need MDF, as for the rest I could use some help. Also looking for something to seal off the trunk from the rest of the car, I will be folding my seats down whenever I have it playing. ChevyBoy95 Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 1. some sort of saw to cut the MDF 2. screws/wood glue, whichever you prefer 3. quite a few clamps to hold the wood during the glue process 4. T Squares help with drawing long straight lines 5. sander/sand paper 6. jig if you want (cuts holes perfectly and fast) others will add more, i am tired, it's hard to think right now. baaudio Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 i use 2" coarse thread drywall screws. 5/32 bit to predrill. then countersink with 1/4 (if you take them out after countersink with 1/4 it lifts the mdf). and i use titebond II wood glue. put a screw every 4-6 inches as well. use some sort of square to make sure your pieces are straight. and most important, take your time. anytime ive rushed a box build ive messed up somewhere.
