SpawnZ
I finally got my FI BTL 12's, and a Hifonics Colossus. I tuned the colossus with my dd1 with the test tune track 5. It doesn't distort until about 29 vol, which is where I'd like it. I switch over to music and it appears to be distorting around 20+ vol. Suggestions? Also sorry if I used bad grammar or anything, frozen trying to get this working.
C-Fizzy
What do you mean you switched it over to music. You're supposed to set your headunit to flat on all settings, find where it distorts, then set your amp at that volume. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy? SpawnZ
I did do that, I found it distorts at 29 volume. But when I actually play music, it's distorting around the 20's range and goes into protect mode.

What's your voltage reading at the amp and what impedance are your subs wired to? And are you sure you set your head unit right? What do you mean you switched it over to music. I think OP means switching from playing test tones to playing a song ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

I think OP means switching from playing test tones to playing a song I'll go out and reset it in a few. I'm not quite sure on the voltage, running stock electric and don't have a DMM. I wired my subs down to 1 ohm. Bass boost on? Yes, but that's only because I wasn't even getting a distortion light from my dd1 with the level all the way cranked. SpawnZ
I turned my bass boost completely off, still no good. I'm wondering if this could be because my LPF is set low, as I didn't touch it. Thoughts?
