LSN2meBoom916 Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Well yea a pic would help in this case (pending you can draw better than explain) What you said would require 2 sets of comps on each side to make a "V" with the midwoofers. If it sounds a little shallow then you could always add some polyfill Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Shyne151 Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 I doubt those woofers are made to be sealed... more than likely are designed for an infiniate baffle in a door, so I wouldn't worry about airspace and probably just cut the bottom out. As for how to do it... this is how I would. Start out with a base of 3/4" or 1/2" mdf the shape you want the whole piece to be. Next cut out rings for both your tweeters and midbass, use popcycle sticks or wooden dowels(cut them to the length you want to angle each of your components. In the middle I would make one raised up piece for your crossovers about an inch or two. Stretch some fleece the whole piece, I would personally put another piece of 3/4" mdf over your middle crossover mount with a beveled edge right now... then glass it(but i do shit weird, and suck at explaining stuff on the internet). So spread your resin... do a few coats, wait for it to dry then cut out the spots where your woofers and tweeters will go. Try to get as much resin on the inside also so it soaks all the way thru the material. I hope that helps you some.
