Second Skin Audio

Recommended Posts

Well after fighting the cold, and making plans for a system rebuild I finally stripped the truck. I put things off as long as possable because I knew I needed to pull out another companies deadening. I knew it would be a pain and take come work. Well to my suprise this is what I saw once I pulled the headliner down.

FAIL!!

All it took was a few mins pulling and it was out.

Well after comparing this to the Alpha I have to say, the alpha is by far the best I have seen or used. The foil is insane! After the first piece installed I could already tell the difference done to the roof. As I know the front half takes the most abuse I double layered that area. I know its probably don't need that much, but I don't wanna take the change again cause its a pain to get it out.

Awesome!

Have any issues installing it due to the foil thickness, it being cold, etc.?

Nice review! I personally have *not tryed many deadeners but want to do the headliner once and only once, what range of temp does your vehicles roof see? I would like to know if this would be one of the better choices not only for the sound deadening but for adhesion durin various temps. I see anywhere from 120 to 30 degrees.
